BKMS® Experience Day 2011

This year's BKMS® Experience Day took place on March 31st and April 1st, hosted by Commerzbank AG with its impressive "Haus der Commerzbank" next to the "Brandenburger Tor" in Berlin, Germany.

About ninety invited guests listened to experts' lectures as well as to a panel discussion with the emphasis on compliance and whistleblowing systems. Our key note speaker Professor Dr. Klaus Leisinger (Novartis Foundation for Sustainable Development) referred to the topic "Corporate responsibility with a global business ethos". Other experts reported on data privacy, the international rollout of a compliance system and the implementation of a compliance programme at SMEs.

On the day before, the BKMS® users' forum met in a closed group of participants for a confidential exchange of experiences. In lectures they dealed with the interaction with whistleblowers under employment laws, the crisis communication as well as with the access rights of SEC to German companies.

The informative programme was completed by a visit of the Federal Chancellery and a boat trip on the river Spree with a Get-Together in the evening.

BKMS® Experience Day 2010

On May 28th 2010, 70 invited guests from different businesses took part in the top-class experts' exchange BKMS® Experience Day 2010. This year we were invited by Fraport AG who owns and runs the international airport Frankfurt / Main, Germany.

Speakers from sciences and economy reported on theories and experiences concerning the topics compliance and whistleblowing systems. In a panel diskussion different whistleblowers' motivations were debated.

Users of the BKMS® System had the opportunity to exchange experiences with reports and their handling in a closed group of participants. Kai Leisering, director of Business Keeper AG, introduced various innovations for the internet based whistleblowing system: "The examiner module is now available in German, English and French. For the whistleblower we provide 23 languages."

On the eve of the BKMS® Experience Day 2010, an entertainment program all about Frankfurt airport took place. After a viewing of the construction site for the northwest runway we held a get-together in the soundproof DaVinci house right besides the runway.

An additional highlight was the passing of the new airbus A 380, which flew the German soccer team to the World Cup in South Africa.

BKMS® Experience Day 2009

The first BKMS® Experience Day took place on May 28 at Bertelsmann, Unter den Linden 1, in Berlin. Around 70 invited guests from business, public authority and sciences participated at this exclusive experts’ event.

After substantiated presentations on diverse aspects of Value Management, Compliance and Whistleblowing, a highly selective panel discussion with Prof. Dr. Bannenberg, Prof. Dr. Bussmann, Mr. Hocker, Dr. Morenz, Mr. Tams and Prof. Dr. Wieland completed the event.

The Experience Day is arranged for a closed circle of participants in order to allow for an open exchange between users of the BKMS® System on Compliance and Whistleblowing related topics. It was our clients who initiated the concept of this event as they asked for an experience platform supporting their daily work in Compliance/Legal/Revision Departments.

Due to its success, the BKMS® Experience Day might be taking place on an annual basis.
