Transparency International (TI) is a non-profit, politically independent, international movement of like-minded individuals worldwide, who have dedicated themselves to the global fight against corruption.
TI itself does not critique individual cases, but rather strives toward the development of coalitions that do, as well as toward the improvement of basic conditions. Through the creation of topic literature, concrete recommendations, and targeted public relations, TI Germany attempts to influence legislation and administrative activities in the fight against, and prevention of, corruption.
TI was founded in 1993, by Dr. Peter Eigen and friends in Berlin, Germany. The German chapter currently has more than 550 individual members and about 40 corporate members. National chapters are active in approximately 100 countries.
Business Keeper AG is a corporate member of TI since 2002 and is active primarily in the whistleblowing working committee.
Spearheaded by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and directed toward the United Nations, governments, and society, the Global Compact is a worldwide initiative for the common ethical orientation of global commerce with regard to human rights, labour, and the environment.

Since 2002, Business Keeper is a participating member in the Global Compact and welcomed the expansion of the movement’s principles to include the tenth in June 2004: "Business should combat corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery".

The goal of the DNWE is to promote the exchange of thoughts and ideas about ethical questions in commerce and to encourage commerce to contribute to the issue of dilemma situations that arise due to market competition.

The German Association for Data Protection and Data Security (GDD) was founded in 1976 and stands as a non-profit organization for practicable and effective data protection. The GDD interacts with government officials, data protection authorities, associations and privacy experts world-wide.
A major goal of the GDD is to strengthen effective self-regulation and corporate self-monitoring in the framework of German data protection law in order to make state supervision and controls unnecessary as far as possible. Furthermore, the GDD raises awareness of the advantages of self-regulation and corporate privacy management in other EU and non-EU countries.
Business Keeper is a member of the GDD since 2010 and is regularly taking part in the exchange of experience.
