Dr. Arno Morenz, Chairman

Dr. Arno Morenz, born in 1939, received his doctorate in Economics in Cologne. He started his career as a correspondent for Handelsblatt in New York, and subsequently held leading positions with Handelsblatt in Düsseldorf, with European Enterprise Development in Paris and with Banque de la Société Financière Européenne in London.
Arno Morenz was a member of the board of directors of Vereinigte Haftpflicht Versicherung (VHV) in Hanover and CEO of Aachener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft.
Today he is a member of the board of trustees of the German shareholder association (DSW), chairman of the supervisory board of alphabet AG in Berlin and member of the supervisory board of Salzgitter AG and of the board of directors of Fidelity Funds. As an independent director, Arno Morenz is a member of the audit committee and the board of directors of FIL Investment Services GmbH in Kronberg, Germany.
Prof. Dr. Uwe Hellmann, Deputy Chairman
Prof. Dr. Uwe Hellmann, born in 1955, graduated in law from University of Bielefeld. Upon his state examination in 1981, he transferred to University of Osnabrück, where he completed his doctorate and PhD in 1986 and 1992 respectively. After teaching activity at German universities in Heidelberg, Trier and Bochum, Uwe Hellmann was appointed to the chair of criminal law - and business crime law in particular - to the judicial faculty of the University of Potsdam.
Uwe Hellmann is author of several books on general criminal law, business crime law and criminal case law elaborating on fiscal offences in the leading annotation of the fiscal code. Beside his activity in research and teaching, he appears as assessor and criminal defence lawyer in cases of business crime and fiscal offences.
Erik Masing
Erik Masing, born in 1965, graduated in Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) from European Business School, Germany. He was co-founder and managing director of bmp management consulting GmbH. From 1991 to 1993 he was a senior manager for the Defence and Hi-Tech sector at HBS Consulting Partners. Today, Erik Masing is CEO of alfabet AG, a Berlin-based market leader for information systems in IT Business Management. He founded alfabet AG with a partner in 1997.
Erik Masing has received numerous awards of distinction for business innovation. In 2000 he received an “Elite of the Future” award by the German Wirtschaftswoche and in 2001 he and his alfabet AG co-founder were selected for the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” award.
