To be honest, at first, I was rather sceptic. I was afraid that this system could be abused to denounce colleagues and superiors. Today we may state that this has not been the case at all. Our employees use the system and its possibilities in a very responsible manner. The reports which we receive, in general, are serious and helpful.

The two-year-application of the BKMS® System has brought a measurable preventive effect: Financial losses due to employees’ misconduct which before had appeared in regular intervals, have not occurred again since the beginning of the application. The preventive effect could be measured directly with the previous losses. According to this no insured loss occurred in the time of the application of the BKMS® system. On the part of the insurances a refund and a reduction in premiums have been granted to the financial institute.

The advantage of BKMS® System is that the whistleblower may set up an electronic post box. This way we may raise further questions. The nature of such a system is often accused of representing a denunciation hotline, whereas it is the contrary: Due to the possibility to communicate back and forth with the whistleblower, we may very quickly assert whether the accusation is legitimate. You do not have this possibility with a letter.
